Best time to visit:
Springs (early April to May) and autumn (early October to late November) are no doubt best time to visit Nepal. Though late monsoon (September) and early December are equally nice.
Accommodation and meals:
Rooms: There are several tourist standards hotels in Kathmandu. You can choose from a simple economy class with clean room and attached bathroom to a luxury 5 star accommodation. The price ranges from US$ 20 to US$160 for a double room on CP (room with breakfast ).
Meals: There are many good quality restaurants in the city of Kathmandu and Pokhara. Most travelers long for good food and drink in Kathmandu after a long trek or overland journey. Food are as varied as one would like to choose. Most commonly available are Nepales, Indian, Chinese and Italian cuisines. There are selected restaurants that prepares continental food. Many hotels have restaurants and café. Price ranges from $8 to $18 per meal.

Travel documents:
Nepal Visa: It can be obtained from any tourist entry points of Nepal upon arrival or from the Royal Nepalese diplomatic missions abroad.

What are the seasons in Nepal?
Mid October/November: Very clear skies, flowers in bloom, hot during the day and cold evenings. Temperatures steadily decrease during these months. October high and low temperatures range from 80-55° F or 26-13° C. November highs and lows are about 66-37° F or 19-3° C. In the southern plains of the Tarai, October high and low temperatures are 88-72° F, 31-22°C; November high and low temperatures are about 83-72° F, 28-22° C.
December/January/February: Clear skies, frosty mornings, warm days but cold at night. Day time highs in the mid 60° F or 18° C and lows dip into the mid 30° F or 2° C throughout the country, except for the Tarai plains, where average daily high and low temperatures are about 10° F, 5° C. March/April: Some times hazy skies, flowers in bloom, hot during the day, warm at night, Daytime temperature reach lows to mid 80° F or 28° C and lows range from about 50-60° F or 10-15° C. The Tarai plain is very hot at this time, with daytime temperatures consistently around 90°s F or 32°C. and the low in the mid 70°s F or 23° C.
June/July/August: This is Nepal’s rainy season which can be fascinating for those interested in the flora and fauna of the country. Daytime temperatures are consistently in the mid to upper 80° F or 30° through out Nepal, with lows around 70° F or 21° C.
May/September/Early October: These are the transition months between the wet and dry season. The rain is not as frequent as the summer months; however, it is unpredictable. The temperatures, flora and fauna are the same as the summer month.Note: The southern plains of the Tarai is about 400 feet or 120 meters lower in altitude than Kathmandu and is consistently warmer than the rest of Nepal.
Should I bring my own medicine?
Please consult your doctor. If you are taking any particular medicines, it would be best to bring these with you.
Baggage:
We suggest that you bring a suitcase to Nepal in which you have a zip-down duffel bag and small duffel overnight bag. The suitcase can be left in Kathmandu with your town cloths. The duffel bags travel with you to your trek/rafting and jungle clothes. The small overnight bag is used for the rafting.
What to wear:
From March to May (spring) is warm during the day and cool in the evening, dusty, rain shower (sometime). May is the hottest of all month. High mountain area has pleasant temperature.
June to August (Monsoon) is lush green and wet. Rain start from beginning of July. Heavy rain- fall is in August. Rain doe not fall throughout day and night. There are several dry days with sun in between.
September to November (autumn) is warm during the day and cool in the evening. The sky is clear. It is normally regarded as the best time for trekking, tour, festival and other cultural activities.
December to February (winter) is cold and snow in the mountain. End of December and January is very cold. In the mountain daytime is pleasant.
